Kevin - coolest dude in town! He also goes under the name "Mr Attitude" and that has nothing to do with bad temperament but with his self security and knowledge that he is the best and most handsome Basenji in the whole world. There is nothing or no-one that can change his mind and there is most definately no way to get him to do things that he's not up to. He jokes himself out of any single trouble, charms us all and makes us laugh at his quick-witted appearance. One look from Kevin and we are all his hypnotized slaves. He's the boy that you take to the heart at an instant!

Kevin was special already as a newborn puppy. He "fell" out of the whelping box at the tender age of three days and layed outside, cool and mellow, fast asleep. Since he was so outstanding in all ways he was not sold at 8 weeks. I was far too picky with all future puppy buyers and only someone very, very special could be allowed to buy him. For a very long time my mind was set on keeping this boy at home but the day after delivery my best friend and "partner in crime" Jeanette, kennel M Wami's basenjis, called on the phone and said. -"I'm coming over to pick him up". Eh, I was a bit surprised and quiet at first but suddenly I understood why Jeanette came to visit us at leat once a week :-)   I needed some time to think beacuse as I just stated "Little brother", the name he still listened to, nearly at home with us. But I gave in so Kevin moved to Jeanette, his grandma Nimba and aunt Tilly.

Kevin wasn't only staying with his Basenji family but also wit his then best friend Hubbe. Hubbe was a big, full-sized Great Dane, but size doesn't matter they say. They where the best of freinds and Kevin looked up to his big brother that he could play with all day long. Until one day when the boys didn't get along anymore...

So in the end Kevin did stay with us. When I went up to see his 6 week old pups we had already decided that he would come back home with me and the family in Malmö and he stays for good! He really enjoys it here where there's no other males to argue with and his dad takes him for looong walk every evening and that is life according to Kevin. Plus that he has three gorgeous girls to spend his days with...

Kevin started his show carreer with flying colours with a Best In Show Puppy in Norrköping amongst other wins. At only 11 months he became Swedish Winner in Stockholm and then it just has continued with 10 CC's and huge success that I could only dream of. These days he is rarely shown but glory and success really doesn't matter. Kevin has found his way home again!!!
