Verro came as number two in a litter of three boys and from the very beginning I knew that this little guy was special. With a big, white collar and first to make way on wobbly hindlegs he soon got the name "handsome". He already then had attitude and, well if you can call it that, presence so this pup was my keeper. No girls was born in this litter so I then decided to keep a male. |

Not too soon after Verro was renamed "bad boy" since he was always in the front when the boys was up to mischief or trouble making. A boy who always wanted to be in the centre of things and he really (and still does) enjoyed life. Verro was also called "The puppy that never sleeps", Ants in the pants" and he was verro much, verro active, verro cheeky and what ever else that can make you exhausted, but wow what a fun pup! I decided early that this pup was gonna stay, but also realized that it might not be doable in the long run as I already have one adult male at home so we had other plans for him. I postponed those plans all the time so he stayed... |

When Verro was 6 months I got a phone call
with a question about available pups. Naaa, I didn't think so, but after a
while lightning struck. Britta on the other end used to own a Basenji male
up until very recently when she had to put him to sleep due to ald age, 15
years. This dog, and Britta of course, I did remember as we met them quite
frequently in the showrings when I started out with Basenjis and the dog,
Balthazar, was a very close relative to my Jaffa, they shared the same sire
(great grandsire to Verro then). As close as you can get probably. Ok, I agreed to let hem come and take a look and Verro and we soon decided that this can work out. Today we co-own Verro, he lives with Britta and I bring him to shows and occasionally I have him at home whenever he needs a babysitter. |

Verro is still verro much, but with secure hands Britta (and me whenever I get the fortune to have him around) leads him in the right direction. Because even though Verro is quite a handful he's a loveable, fun, social, friendly boy who wants to play with all dogs, welcomes all people and takes life very lightly. He just has Ants in the pants and yodels like a whole orchestra ;-) |
